Once you complete your driving lessons from the Hills area driving school and get your driving license, you are free to drive around the city. As a first time driver, you need to be careful whenever you step out on the road. Driving a car within the lanes of your driving institute and driving on the main road are two completely different things. The road is full of different types of vehicles – big, small and medium sized. You need to navigate your car amongst all these. At the same time you need to pay attention to the traffic signals, maintain a safe distance between other cars as well. Initially you will get a bit stressed. But with the passage of time things will become normal and you will adapt to the driving skills better.
Here are a few tips that you can follow during the initial days:
- If too many cars on the road scare you, you should try and start early so that you don’t have to encounter heavy traffic on the road.
- Always make sure that you check your rear-view mirror and side mirrors before you over take another vehicle on the road.
- Use the horn as and when required and also follow the road signs and signals.
- Always use the indicator whenever necessary.
- Do not give in to rash driving at any point of time. It is for your own safety.
These tips are simple and easy to follow and will help you improve your driving skills in the long run.
